A licenced and fully-trained employee of AquaGas Plumbers and Gasfitters will perform a Gas Safety & Compliance Check to each rental property on our data base, every two years in accordance with proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic).
- Initial pressure test on gas fitting line (internal pipe work) to ensure it is free from leaks
- An inspection of all gas appliance installations to ensure they comply with current Australian Standards
- Visual inspection of each appliance for signs of wear or incorrect operation
- Inspection of heat exchanges to check for cracks or imperfections
- Vacuum of entire appliance
- Inspection & clean of burners, injectors & aeration chambers
- Inspection & clean of fans, fan motors & outer casing
- Inspection & testing of flame failure devises & over temp safety cut outs
- Visual inspection of control boards & all wiring and associated connections
- Cleaning of all filters
- Test & adjust burner pressures, if required
- Check internal gas connections are free from leaks
- Clean work area
- Check thermostat functions correctly & ambient temperature is accurate
- Complete negative air pressure test (smoke test), if required
- Complete carbon monoxide test
